Kirsty has a MA in Sociology and Geography from Maynooth University and is currently writing up her PhD in Sociology at the Waterford Institute of Technology. Kirsty has worked as Research Assistant in the Health Promotion Research Centre at the National University of Ireland, Galway where she conducted an evaluation of the Galway Healthy Cities Alcohol Strategy. Her other research experience has focused on changing economic policy and its impact on working life, the night-time economy and alcohol.
