TASC 25th Anniversary

On the 10th of September, our researchers, board members, and supporters gathered at the Irish Architectural Archive to celebrate 25 years of TASC. Thank you to everyone who joined us to reflect on the anniversary, and celebrate the coinciding launch of the 2026 TASC Inequality Report.
The celebration began with a speech from TASC Chairperson Mike Jennings looking back over TASC’s achievements. He was followed by TASC co-founder Proinsias de Rossa, who discussed TASC’s beginnings. Former Irish President Michael D. Higgins, a long-time supporter of TASC, wrote a letter praising the crucial role TASC has played in the Irish political conversation over the past 25 years. All three stressed that TASC brought new life to the homogenous political landscape of Celtic Tiger Ireland. As the first independent think tank in Ireland, it challenged the entrenched status quo and encouraged new thinking across the political conversation.
TASC’s commitment to the themes of economic inequality and democratic accountability over the last 25 years were also celebrated by both the speakers and the attendees. We have only achieved our success through your sustained support and partnership. We are extremely appreciative of all you have done for us.
Please join us as we continue to strive for a fairer Ireland, with greater trust in our institutions, economic opportunity, and the future. Thanks again to all who came along.
