Shana Cohen Pens Opinion on Bold Climate Change Action
On May 14, 2019, TASC Director Shana Cohen published an opinion piece in The Irish Times on the need for climate action after Ireland declared a climate and biodiversity emergency. Cohen states it bluntly, "climate action is no longer a choice, it is a basic necessity for survival." To tackle the problem of climate change, Cohen argues, the action must be developed from the ground up along with national policies and international agreements. Climate action must have political leadership in congruence with respect for democratic participation to be successful.
