Niall Douglas holds degrees majoring in software engineering, double majoring in economics and management, and a Master's in Business Information Systems during which he won the prestigious 2009 Student Enterprise Awards held annually by Enterprise Ireland. 

He is the co-author of Economists and the Powerful: Convenient Theories, Distorted Facts, Ample Rewards. He was the social media coordinator for the World Economics Association and his particular interest lies in productivity, the causes of productivity and the organisational scaling constraints which inhibit productivity.
