Addressing Health Inequalities Post-Pandemic - 28th October 2021 - 11am

Health Ineq Event

This event, hosted by TASC - the Think Tank for Action on Social Change - will feature a panel of experts to discuss the current state of healthcare in Ireland, and the particular impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on growing health inequalities.

The event will include an overview of the ways these inequalities have been exacerbated in recent months, by long waiting lists and medical staff shortages, delayed diagnoses, capacity issues in Irish hospitals, and additional related challenges.

Certain groups, such as older persons and medical card holders, have been disproportionately impacted by these issues, and there are concerns about the long-term implications and the overall impact of the quality of care received by both public and private patients.

Please join us on Thursday the 28 October at 11am .

Our panel to date:

  • Averil Power, CEO Irish Cancer Society
  • Joseph Musgrave, CEO Home and Community Care Ireland
  • Tim Collins, CEO Irish Heart Foundation

A Zoom access link will be shared closer to the event day.
